Large ad files are problematic because they take too long to load, which means they may not show up on a page before your ad viewer scrolls away. To make sure your ads get the best viewability rates, the digital ad industry has capped ad sizes to improve the ad experience for ad users. If your ad files are too large, there are a few ways to resize your ads. However, choosing the best method will depend on what type of ad you're trying to run.
Programmatic Video Ads: Ads must be under the 100MB max file size.
CTV Video Ads must be under 250MB max file size.
Display (Banner) Ads must be no larger than 1MB for each unit.
If your file is larger than 1MB, you will need to compress your file to make the file smaller for use in the Turn It Blue Ads platform. There are many free file compressors that you can find online, including CompressJPEG.com, CompressPNG.com and GIFCompressor.com. Or, if you're a Canva Pro user, you can also try to easily reduce your file size by checking the box for "Compress File" when you download your ads:
If the compressor tools aren't getting your file small enough, you may need to change your ad design to make the ads work better—try using only one photo or fewer frames to make your display ad file size smaller.
